Living in CA, there’s always a chance for earthquakes. So far in this new house (moved in Jan. 2013), we hadn’t experienced a quake until last night. What is now being called #napaquake on twitter, was a 6.0 that struck at 3:30 am. Westina (my wife) was awake when it hit. I heard the rumble through my dreams and felt the first shudder before waking up in a jolt. She told me to calm down and we rode through what felt like three waves. Lucky and Thankful

Some of my friends claim that I lead a charmed and lucky life. From where I stand, I’d say so too. Yes, life has thrown some hard balls at me (wife’s cancer and subsequent disability) and some curve balls (who’d thunk that I’d end up with THREE dogs!), but through it all I’ve never stopped counting my blessings. Nimblebit’s Promo

So, Nimblebit is the maker of several free games I play on the iPhone. And they’re about to launch a new game called Tiny Towers Vegas. The promo they’re running is on Twitter. They show a picture, then a redeemable code with some letters missing. You’re to guess the letters from the photo. What a great hook! All this just for a few days (weeks?) head start on launch.
