Living in CA, there’s always a chance for earthquakes. So far in this new house (moved in Jan. 2013), we hadn’t experienced a quake until last night. What is now being called #napaquake on twitter, was a 6.0 that struck at 3:30 am. Westina (my wife) was awake when it hit. I heard the rumble through my dreams and felt the first shudder before waking up in a jolt. She told me to calm down and we rode through what felt like three waves. My hurried pulse and breathing slowed as I came to realize that among quakes I’ve experience,…
Some of my friends claim that I lead a charmed and lucky life. From where I stand, I’d say so too. Yes, life has thrown some hard balls at me (wife’s cancer and subsequent disability) and some curve balls (who’d thunk that I’d end up with THREE dogs!), but through it all I’ve never stopped counting my blessings. They show a picture, then a redeemable code with some letters missing. You’re to guess the letters from the photo. What a great hook! All this just for a few days (weeks?) head start on launch. And I’ve been refreshing their twitter page like a damn fool lol. Once I figure out whether this type of promo can run on Kindle editions I might try it with…
Today, I received the final logo for Woven Myths. Dawn of Atomic Studios has done a stupendous job on it! Not only that, but Drew Johnson, one of my former clients and an artist I contacted about doing some artwork, emailed me back. I’ve started uploading pages onto the website, as well as brushed up on some html to be able to make tables. All the definitions look better in a table setting (except for the guild pages) so hooray! What I’m struggling with is how much do I define? Because so much of the story is in the eventual…
For some reason, the lyrics to “Hello Dolly ” is on my dashboard. Of course, being a fag hag in drag, I know the lyrics.
